A broad polymer list is not a single product temperature range. Confirm the limits and required validation for the selected grade under the specified fluid and load. Use colour for agreed identification and keep the compound code on the part specification and packing label. The O-ring has no independent pressure rating.

Application of the rubber o ring:
For oil and gas equipment joints, provide the sealing position, fluid and additives, normal and peak temperature, pressure cycle and static or moving duty. Review the selected compound against the complete operating conditions. Do not assume EPDM is suitable for petroleum oil. Sour-gas and rapid gas decompression duty require separate compound-specific qualification.
